New OneO® Data Transport Service Moves beyond Current Electronic Discovery Data Transfer Standards to Streamline Data Ingestion and Migration

LegalTech West 2009 Conference - Booth #120

SALT LAKE CITY–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Orange Legal Technologies, a leading electronic discovery provider of one source litigation, audit, and investigation support services for law firms and corporations seeking insight on electronically stored information, today announced the release of the OneO® Data Transport Service – a targeted data transfer service designed to allow users to quickly map and transfer data between disparate electronic discovery applications and services.

“One of the biggest challenges in electronic discovery today is the transfer of data between disparate and proprietary electronic discovery services and applications,” states Ronda Raymond, Vice President of Operations and E-Discovery Solutions for Orange Legal Technologies. “Different data formats, languages, and inadequate data transfer schemas all contribute to this challenge. With the introduction of the OneO® Data Transport Service our hope is that electronic discovery practitioners will realize and benefit from the increased flexibility offered by a service that goes beyond the current limited XML-based standards offered today and begin to take advantage of the benefits of newer, more complete offerings such as the OneO® Discovery Platform.”

Migrate Current Projects and/or Initiate New Projects

With the capability to allow data mapping for initial ingestion or transfer from industry acknowledged platforms from providers such as Clearwell Systems and FTI Consulting (Attenex), the OneO® Data Transport Service provides complete mapping of electronically stored information (ESI) formats to include text, sound, still and moving images, web archives and generically accepted wrappers and encodings. The new service efficiently handles foreign languages - to Include double-byte character languages such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean – and displays ESI in either a universal viewer or in native view. Also, with the OneO® Data Transport Service, electronic discovery practitioners can migrate both current matters or initiate new projects into the OneO® Discovery Platform – a platform which allows users to leverage the analytics, processing, and/or review capabilities which have been demonstrated to allow for the conduct of core electronic discovery tasks in 1/2 the time, at 1/2 the cost, and at lower risk than traditional, non-application level integrated electronic discovery platforms.

Consolidate and Manage Previously Processed TIFF/PDF Files

In addition to advanced data mapping capability, the OneO Data Transport Service can be utilized to consolidate previously generated paper, TIFF and PDF documents to allow for the ingestion/migration of these documents into a single searchable repository for use in future electronic discover matters.

To Learn More

Available as a standalone service for the creation of well-formed XML data transfer files or as part of the OneO® Discovery Platform, the OneO® Data Transport Service is available by contacting Orange Legal Technologies at 415-989-7922 or via email @ info@orangelt.com.
Revenue Growth Follows Strongest Annual Revenue Performance (2008) and Strongest Fourth Quarter Performance (4Q 2008) in the 14-Year History of the Company

(Salt Lake City, UT) Orange Legal Technologies, a leading provider of one source litigation, audit, and investigation support services for law firms and corporations seeking insight on electronically stored information, today announced a 27% increase in revenue growth between Fourth Quarter 2008 and First Quarter 2009.
Founded in 1995 and renamed with the launch of the OneO® Discovery Platform in June 2008, Orange Legal Technologies’ experienced strong first quarter earnings that were driven by the addition of over 20 new business relationships with law firms, corporations, and governmental entities as well as by the continued service to a growing list of clients.

“First Quarter 2009 has been an exciting one for Orange Legal Technologies and our revenue growth during this time appears to be a direct indicator of client confidence in both Orange Legal Technologies and our OneO® Discovery Platform” stated Bret Laughlin, CEO and President of Orange Legal Technologies. “However, we understand that future performance is based on our ability to continue to meet client needs and we are totally committed to providing those clients the technology and support they deserve – to include several new features to be announced in the Second Quarter of 2009.”

“What we are seeing in the market place today is in direct agreement with the 2009 prediction made by industry experts George Socha and Tom Gelbmann in their annual electronic survey” explained Mark Lomenick, Director of Finance at Orange Legal Technologies. “In their 2008 report Mr. Socha and Mr. Gelbmann stated that ‘Resources appear to be moving from the larger services providers. They are being shifted to niche service providers, providers new to the market (some of whom are niche providers as well)’ (1) and with the launch of our OneO® Discovery Platform last summer, we are certainly experiencing the benefit of having new electronic discovery technology in an organization with over 14 years of litigation support experience.”

Orange Legal Technologies Announces Intent to Introduce New Universe Inclusive® Language Capabilities into the OneO® Discovery Platform

Expanding Intergalactic Litigation Warrants Introduction of Klingon and Porcine Latin Language Review Capabilities for Earth-based and Earth-bound Legal Professionals

(Salt Lake City, UT, USA, Earth, April 1, 2009) Orange Legal Technologies, a leading provider of one source litigation, audit, and investigation support services for law firms and corporations seeking insight on electronically stored information (ESI), today announced the planned introduction of new Universe Inclusive® language capabilities – to include Klingon and Porcine Latin Language support - for the OneO® Discovery Platform. Launched in June 2008, the OneO® Discovery Platform is a SaaS based, integrated, web-accessible, forensically sound electronic discovery platform that enables online analytics, processing, and review of data from the security of an Earth-based hosted centralized repository.

“As 2008 was the most active year to date for intergalactic judicial opinions and rulings on E-Discovery, it is important that we continue to provide our clients across the universe the most efficient and economic tools available to help them meet the legal and economic challenges associated with the conduct of E-Discovery” stated Bret Laughlin, CEO and President of Orange Legal Technologies. “With the introduction of our Universe Inclusive® language support, we can now provide Earth-based clients the capability to analyze, process, and review documents originating on the planet Qo’noS. Additionally, for our Earth-bound clients, we have introduced Porcine Latin language support to ensure our intergalactic clients can address the complexities of this language that many people on Earth learn as a child.”

More about Klingon for Earth-Based Legal Professionals

From a legal documentation perspective, the Klingon language has an alphabet of 26 characters, a positional numeric writing system with 10 digits, and is written left-to-right, top-to-bottom. The standard Okrand transliteration for Klingon can viewed at the Conscript Unicode Registry website. [1]

More about Porcine Latin for Earth-Bound Legal Professionals

Porcine Latin is a language derived from a game of alterations using the English Language. To form the Porcine Latin form of an English word the initial consonant sound is transposed to the end of the word and an ay is affixed (Ex.: “integrated platform” would yield integratedway atformplay). The purpose of the alteration is to both obfuscate the encoding and to indicate for the intended recipient the encoding as ‘Pig Latin’.[2]

Availability and Pricing to be announced on February 29, 2010.
