New OneO® Data Transport Service Moves beyond Current Electronic Discovery Data Transfer Standards to Streamline Data Ingestion and Migration

LegalTech West 2009 Conference - Booth #120

SALT LAKE CITY–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Orange Legal Technologies, a leading electronic discovery provider of one source litigation, audit, and investigation support services for law firms and corporations seeking insight on electronically stored information, today announced the release of the OneO® Data Transport Service – a targeted data transfer service designed to allow users to quickly map and transfer data between disparate electronic discovery applications and services.

“One of the biggest challenges in electronic discovery today is the transfer of data between disparate and proprietary electronic discovery services and applications,” states Ronda Raymond, Vice President of Operations and E-Discovery Solutions for Orange Legal Technologies. “Different data formats, languages, and inadequate data transfer schemas all contribute to this challenge. With the introduction of the OneO® Data Transport Service our hope is that electronic discovery practitioners will realize and benefit from the increased flexibility offered by a service that goes beyond the current limited XML-based standards offered today and begin to take advantage of the benefits of newer, more complete offerings such as the OneO® Discovery Platform.”

Migrate Current Projects and/or Initiate New Projects

With the capability to allow data mapping for initial ingestion or transfer from industry acknowledged platforms from providers such as Clearwell Systems and FTI Consulting (Attenex), the OneO® Data Transport Service provides complete mapping of electronically stored information (ESI) formats to include text, sound, still and moving images, web archives and generically accepted wrappers and encodings.   The new service efficiently handles foreign languages - to Include double-byte character languages such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean – and displays ESI in either a universal viewer or in native view. Also, with the OneO® Data Transport Service, electronic discovery practitioners can migrate both current matters or initiate new projects into the OneO® Discovery Platform – a platform which allows users to leverage the analytics, processing, and/or review capabilities which have been demonstrated to allow for the conduct of core electronic discovery tasks in 1/2 the time, at 1/2 the cost, and at lower risk than traditional, non-application level integrated electronic discovery platforms.

Consolidate and Manage Previously Processed TIFF/PDF Files

In addition to advanced data mapping capability, the OneO Data Transport Service can be utilized to consolidate previously generated paper, TIFF and PDF documents to allow for the ingestion/migration of these documents into a single searchable repository for use in future electronic discover matters.
